About
Edgars Romanovskis (b. Riga, Latvia, 1991) is a visual artist and contemporary painter based in Switzerland, where he has lived and worked since 2011. A graduate of graphic design from CSIA in Lugano, Romanovskis has developed a distinctive figurative painting style that explores themes of identity and form.
His recent body of work focuses on portraits, anthropomorphic figures, hands, and mountain landscapes, often defined by his signature use of a red line. This bold, symbolic element has become a key feature of his visual language.
Romanovskis's creative process blends traditional manual techniques, such as oil and acrylic, with experimentation in digital painting. This approach creates a unique dialogue between the human and natural worlds.
